The Student warrants to TUCF that the information and particulars
comprised within the diving Course application form
submitted to TUCF are true and correct and contain no miss-description
of the Student's qualifications and experience; and the Student is
not aware of any material change in the health information
disclosed in their most recent dive medical examination.
If a student
has misled or misrepresented their experience to TUCF to obtain a
place on any Course or has otherwise supplied untrue
or false information regarding their qualification
or experience the Student will, entirely at the discretion of TUCF,
be liable to forfeit all monies to TUCF and their
position on the Course.
A booking is
not considered confirmed until the full deposit specified to the Student
and a completed Booking Form is received by TUCF.
All deposits
are non-refundable and non-transferable
If a student
fails to pay all specified outstanding Course fees to TUCF by the
due date (30 days prior to Course commencement),
the Student will forfeit all monies paid, along with
their place on the Course. If a student is experiencing difficulties
meeting this requirement, they are to contact TUCF
prior to the 30 day deadline.
Cancellations
for any reason within 30 days of the commencement of a course will
result in the forfeiture of all monies paid to TUCF.
Failure
to adhere to the following guidelines may result in a Student's expulsion
from a Course. The Student:
a) Shall have an in date medical.
b) Shall inform both their Instructors if they are unfit or if there
is any other reason why they should not go
under pressure.
c) Shall inform both their Instructors if they have any symptoms which
may be associated with decompression sickness
or barotrauma.
d) Must keep their logbook up to date and ensure that it is signed
by their Instructor.
e) Shall at all times carry out required duties in a professional
manner with consideration for their own safety
and safety of other members of the class and diving support team.
f) Shall follow all safety procedures and instructions aboard boats,
diving installations, when handling compressed
gases, and operating power tools.
g) Shall not enter the water without specific instructions of the
diving supervisor.
h) Shall not wilfully damage or steal any equipment or operate it
in such way as to cause mischief or harm to
others.
i) Shall notify the instructor of any recreational dives undertaken
within a seven (7) day period prior to the
diving operation to be undertaken.
j) Shall notify the instructor of any alcohol consumed or drugs taken
within the previous 48 hours.
Failure
to comply with the TUCF Drug and Alcohol Policy will result in expulsion
from the Course. No refunds of monies paid will
be given. If you wish to see the full TUCF Drug and

Client Selection, Enrolment & Induction / Orientation Procedures
We provide clear information on the qualifications / courses that we offer. This includes the location of training, any required skills or knowledge and any additional training pathways.
Our enrolment process requires you to complete an enrolment form and provide as much relevant information as possible to ensure we provide training to suit your needs. All information collected is kept confidential and subject to our Privacy Policy.
We also conduct an induction on the first day of training and go through our key Policies and Procedures to ensure that all learners understand the information contained in our Management Systems.
Course Information
Specific course brochures and flyers have been developed for all of the courses and programs that we currently offer. Learner information sheets for each course and its content are also available on request.
Course Pre-Requisites
Any pre-requisites for a course are outlined in the course information booklet under the relevant course information page.

Qualifications from Other RTOS
TUCF’s recognises statements of attainments and certificates issued by other RTOs.
Should a learner provide a valid statement of attainment or certificate, the company will record this as a credit transfer against the relevant unit of competency. However, if the statements of attainment or certificate is older than the current Training Package / Accredited Course the learner will be required to map the old unit codes against the new codes to demonstrate that they are the same and that credit can be granted. In this instance the learner would meet with the Managing Director and receive a copy of the latest relevant units to map against.
Provision For Language, Literacy & Numeracy Assessment
We provide advice, support and help for any language, literacy and numeracy assistance on request. We will also monitor the needs of our learner’s language, literacy and numeracy skills through our enrolment forms, and through the learning process. If at any time we feel a learner requires any language, literacy and numeracy assistance we will either provide this support measure or tailor learning and assessment materials to match learner needs.

Flexible Learning and Assessment Procedures
Our training and assessment procedures are flexible and take into account learner needs. We will ensure that:
a) All required resources for the delivery of any course are in place and maintained in good working order
b) Training and assessment will only be conducted by qualified staff
c) All training and assessment will be to the nationally set standard prescribed in the relevant Training Package or accredited course material.
This means that any training and assessment received by students, is done in accordance with the National Quality Training Framework and any qualifications achieved with TUCF will be recognised nationally.
Welfare and Guidance Services
We will endeavour to provide welfare and guidance to all learners. This includes
a) Occupational Health and Safety
b) Review of payment schedules when requested
c) Learning pathways and possible RPL opportunities
d) Provision for special learning needs
e) Provision for special cultural and religious needs; and
f) Provision for special dietary needs.
Appeals, Complaints And Grievance Procedures
TUCF has policies and procedures for dealing with appeals and complaints. It is important that this procedure is clearly understood and followed. Any student with a complaint may raise the matter with TUCF staff and attempt an informal resolution. Should the complaint remain unresolved after informal resolution is attempted the student should complete a student complaint form and contact the TUCF Managing Director to arrange a meeting. Legislation
All staff within TUCF will comply with a range of legislation. Any changes to relevant legislation will be advised and updated accordingly to both students and staff involved as per the RTO should such changes affect our practices we will discuss at our Weekly Staff Meetings and implemented accordingly.
Disciplinary Procedure
To ensure all learners receive equal opportunities and gain the maximum from their time with us, these rules apply to all personnel in attendance at any of our sessions. Any person(s) who displays dysfunctional or disruptive behaviour may be asked to leave the session and/or the course.
Dysfunctional behaviour may include:
a) Continuous interruptions to the trainer whilst delivering the course content
b) Smoking in non-smoking areas
c) Being disrespectful to other participants
d) Harassment by using offensive language
e) Sexual harassment
f) Acting in an unsafe manner that places themselves and others at risk
g) Continued absence at required times
Any person who is asked to leave a session or course has the right of appeal through our appeals process.

Staff Responsibilities for Access and Equity Issues
TUCF and its staff have been inducted in their responsibilities for our access and equity principles. Our staff act in accordance with our Code of Practice and all learners are made aware of their rights and responsibilities. All learners have access to all courses that we conduct irrespective of gender, culture, linguistic background, race, or disability.
Recognition pf Prior Learning (RPL) Arrangements
RPL is available to all learners. If you believe you have relevant skills and abilities in order to complete any part of this course please contact our staff. They will discuss the evidence requirements you will need to provide and support such documentation. Our fully comprehensive RPL process, in the form of our Course Information Booklet, will also provide you with further guidance. This Booklet can be provided to you on request.
Tuition Fees Include
The tuition fee includes all relevant manuals and training materials, expert facilitation, support services including mentoring and coaching, assessment of both practical and theory elements and the certificate awarded on successful completion of the programs.
Support Services
If any student has difficulty with any aspect of the course, you will be able to ask the trainer for extra assistance at any non-lecturing time. Support can be provided via internet, email or phone. If required you may also ring our office with any queries relating to the course or any difficulties you may have regarding your participation on any course. Between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm you can call our head office on (08) 9336 3343 and speak to one of our facilitators or staff. In all cases if you would like an Instructor to contact you please let us know a convenient contact time.
Lost Qualifications
Should the student lose the qualification/certificate awarded at the completion of the program, a new testamur can be re-printed at a cost of $125.00.
