Managing Director
Ian was formally the National Manager of the
National Association of Scuba Diving Schools Australasia Inc (NASDS),
a position which he held for 8 years. He is a former Royal Australian
Navy Clearance
Diver holding ADAS Parts 1, 2 and 3 commercial diver and supervisor
accreditation.

General Manager Operations
Support Services
Dusty was a founding director of Contract Diving Services, one
of Australia’s foremost commercial diving companies. His
experience as a naval clearance diver over seven years, plus his
extensive involvement in the offshore and onshore diving industry
over the last three decades, make Dusty one of the most experienced
diving operations managers in the industry. Dusty has been involved
in the commercial diving industry since his honourable discharge
from the Royal Australian Navy in 1973.

General Manager Marine
Craig is a qualified Master Mariner Class 1 and was formally the
General Manager of Adsteam Offshore, a diversified company providing
marine vessels and crewing services to the Australian offshore
oil and gas industry.
Prior to this he held General Manager, Business Development and
Marketing roles with major Australian and international marine
companies as well as many years of seagoing experience.
Craig has over thirty years of both senior management and seagoing
practice in the maritime industry and is familiar with vessel
operations in the oil and gas industry, harbour and ocean towage,
landing craft and the larger commercial shipping industry.

QHSE Manager
Peter has 11 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
including two major projects, security and regulation. He began
his career in the drilling industry working both onshore and offshore.
Later, he worked on two development projects and commenced post-graduate
studies. Peter holds a Masters in Oil and Gas Engineering from
UWA, majoring in corporate crisis management.
In the last few years, Peter has worked as an Inspector for DOIR
and most recently with the Timor Sea Designated Authority administering
safety case jurisdictions. He has investigated a number of major
industry incidents and conducted audits of marine facilities and
hydrocarbon gathering and processing platforms.
Peter possesses both an academic and working knowledge of management
systems. Corollary, he brings a broad suite of skills and experience
to TUCF.

General Manager Diving
Paul was a Senior Instructor at TUCF before moving to Houston,
Texas, in 2004, where he was in high demand as an Offshore Construction
Saturation Diver and Deep Air Surface Supplied Mixed Gas Supervisor.
Paul returned to Australia in December 2007 to assume the role
of General Manager Diving at TUCF. He is responsible for the commercial
diving sector of the company including the everyday operations
and long-term management of the training school.
In addition to his comprehensive knowledge and experience in both
the onshore construction and offshore oil and gas industries,
Paul started his diving career in the recreational industry where
he developed exceptional training and instructional skills which
are universally highly regarded.

Business Development Manager
/ Senior Instructor
Koh joins TUCF following several years as Senior Project Manager
of Sapura Diving Services in Malaysia where he successfully coordinated
commercial diver training by TUCF of the Royal Malaysian Navy.
Prior to this, Koh spent 23 years in the Royal Malaysian Navy
as a Commanding Officer responsible for administration, operations,
training and supervision of clearance and fleet diving, ROVs and
Fast Attack Craft warships.
Koh holds ADAS Parts 1, 2 and 3 and Diving Supervisor qualifications
and is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysian, Mandarin and Hokkien.
His move to Western Australia will see him conducting commercial
diving courses for students from around the world as well as developing
further business opportunities for TUCF in South East Asia.

Senior Instructor
Jim joined the TUCF team in November 2007 after moving to Perth
from the UK. He has been involved in the occupational diving industry
since 1992.
Upon becoming a Royal Marines Commando in 1990, Jim trained as
both a diver and parachutist and also supported the Special Boat
Service. He saw active service around the world, including the
Gulf and Bosnian conflicts.
Jim joined the UK Police in 1996 where he was a Detective and
Underwater Search Officer/Supervisor, responsible for various
search, salvage and body recovery operations in addition to above-surface
police duties.
Since 2006, he has worked in the private dive industry doing salvage
and survey work. He is a commercial boat skipper and a well-liked
Instructor at the school.

Maintenance Supervisor
/ Instructor
Barry is a fully qualified ADAS Part 1, 2 and 3 diver as well
as Onshore Supervisor, Chamber Operator and Dive Medical Technician.
A former student of TUCF with several years’ vocational
experience in the Western Australian commercial diving industry,
Barry has been an ideal Instructor at the school since April 2006.
As Maintenance Supervisor, Barry is responsible for administering
a programmed maintenance system of TUCF’s assets ranging
from everyday diving gear to our growing fleet of vessels. Barry
is also the employee Health and Safety Representative for the
TUCF offshore training division and has attained a Certificate
IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

Maintenance Technician
/ Instructor
Karl spent six years as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, running
dive charters and managing dive shops on the east coast of Australia.
In 2006, Karl came to TUCF to gain his commercial diver qualifications
before working for several major diving companies across the country.
He is a respected Instructor with excellent knowledge of underwater
operations.
As Maintenance Technician, Karl is responsible for the upkeep
of TUCF’s equipment and resources to company and Australian
Standards. Karl is also working as an operations technician for
one day each fortnight at the Fremantle Hospital Hyperbaric Unit.

Senior Instructor
Ross is a former Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diver holding
ADAS Parts 1, 2 and 3 and Diving Supervisor commercial diver accreditation.
His 30 years in the RAN included posts at the Submarine Escape
Training Facility, as Chief Instructor of the RAN Diving School,
on the Joint Incident Response Unit (Bomb Squad) at the 2000 Sydney
Olympics, duties with the Special Air Service, and deployment
to Guam to instruct foreign defence forces in advanced Explosive
Ordnance Disposal techniques.
In addition to his practical knowledge and training skills, Ross
holds numerous professional qualifications, including Master Mariners
V Certificate and Assistant Life Support Technician.
His extensive experience in commercial diving makes him an invaluable
asset to the school. In addition to being a Senior Instructor,
Ross works as a Master on TUCF vessels in the Kimberley region.
Ross is currently a serving member of the RAN Standby Reserve.

Senior Instructor
Eugene is a former Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diver holding
ADAS Parts 1, 2 and 3 and Diving Supervisor commercial diver accreditation.
As a RAN Clearance Diver for 21 years, Eugene was posted to various
ships and operational diving teams across the world. Service included
exchange with the United States Navy as a Senior Diving Instructor,
Clearance Diving duties with the Special Air Service Regiment,
and underwater clearance of mines and ordnance from the ports
and coastline of Kuwait in Gulf War 1991.
Eugene was instrumental in the conversion of the RAN Clearance
Diving Branch to the A5800 Closed-Circuit Rebreather (USN MK.16
CCR equivalent) when the RAN upgraded their 1970s era closed-circuit
rebreather units. Post RAN, he has been involved in the hyperbaric
manufacturing industry; supplying, servicing and supporting defence
agencies and national and international commercial business.
Eugene is currently a serving member of the RAN Standby Reserve.

Training Administrator
Tess is a certified PADI Dive Instructor and Coxswain with various
advanced first aid qualifications. She developed her diving and
instructional skills in the recreational industry, working as
a Divemaster at Perth Diving Academy for three years. Tess then
spent a year as a Divemaster and crew member on the live aboard
charter vessel, Odyssey, based between Geraldton and Broome.
Tess joined TUCF in 2007 to provide administrative support for
both the diver training and marine logistics divisions. In addition
to her practical diving and boating experience, Tess possesses
and excellent understanding of ADAS administration procedures
and TUCF operational policies, making her an invaluable asset
to the company.
Tess has a keen interest in all ocean-related pursuits, including
marine studies and activities including Free Diving.

Training Assistant
Nicole commenced employment at TUCF in July 2007. She handles
the administration for the range of training courses on offer
at TUCF, including course and career enquiries, preparation of
course materials, ADAS applications and certifications, as well
as general student and instructor support.
Nicole is a qualified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and keen
diving enthusiast. She is looking forward to undertaking the ADAS
Part 1 (Occupational Scuba Diving to 30 metres) course at TUCF
in the near future.
Nicole also holds a Senior First Aid certificate with Advanced
Resuscitation.
