If a student fails to pay all specified outstanding Course fees to
TUCF by the due date (30 days prior to Course commencement), the Student
will forfeit all monies paid, along with their place on the Course.

In accordance with AS2815.2 and AS/NZS2299.1:2007
• Hold
a valid certificate of medical fitness to dive.
• Be at
least 18 years of age.
• Be a
competent swimmer.
• Hold
a recognised certificate of recreational diving competence i.e. PADI
Open Water Diver.
• Be able
to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and
fractions, calculate percentages.
• Be able
to solve simple formulas i.e. gas laws.
• Understand
written and verbal communications and be able to communicate with
other persons in English.
• Hold
a certificate of basic emergency life support and oxygen administration.

The focus of the course is to prepare scientific divers to work in
open water conditions completing scientific tasks.
The emphasis of the course shall be preparing recreationally trained
divers to work safely and effectively as members of an integrated
occupational dive team. During training trainees must use a variety
of modern diving equipment including full face masks with effective
communications and be assessed as competent when required to complete
a variety of relevant light work, inspection and survey tasks.
The qualification provides the diver with a restricted set of occupational
scuba techniques to undertake a limited range of underwater tasks
as a member of team.
The course meets the requirements of:
• ADAS
Restricted Part 1 - Scuba Diving.
• AS2815.6
– Restricted Occupational Scuba Diving.
• Certificate
III in Occupational Diving.
Role of The Restricted Occupational Scuba Diver, Anatomy,
Physiology and Diving Physics, Health and Safety in Diving Operations,
Diving First Aid, Compression Chamber Theory, Effective Working Relationships,
Emergency Procedures, Scuba Equipment, Pre-Dive Preparations, Underwater
Deployment, Post Dive Procedures, Diving Work Tasks.
