The ADAS Part 2 Restricted course is a progressive step from Part 1 and includes the use of surface supported breathing apparatus but does not include the use of underwater tools.

 Course Details

•  Courses are conducted in conjunction with our standard Part 2 program.

•  Duration - 12 days.

•  Minimum Number - 5

•  Maximum Number - 10

•  Price - AUD$5,250.00

•  Deposit - A deposit of AUD$790.00 is required to confirm a position on this course.

•  Inclusions - Price includes text books, all diving equipment for the duration     of the course, two nights meals and accommodation (Collie), and all     certification fees (ADAS fees are AUD$300.00).

 Selection Criteria

In accordance with AS2815.2 and AS/NZS2299.1:2007;

•  Hold a valid certificate of medical fitness to dive.

•  Hold a recognised certificate of diving competence (i.e. ADAS Part 1).

•  Hold a certificate of Basic Life Support and Oxygen Administration.

•  Understand written and verbal communications and be able to communicate with other     persons in English.

 Course Synopsis

The course covers activities and competencies required for the training and accreditation of divers who are required to work safely and competently using surface supplied breathing equipment to depths of 30 metres in accordance with AS/NZS2299.1:2007. It does not include the use of power tools and is ideally suited to the scientific and aquaculture diver.

 Course Overview

The onshore commercial air diving qualification to 30 metres [Restricted] is a progressive step from AS2815.1 (Occupational Scuba Diver) and includes the use of surface supported breathing apparatus and significantly increases the divers ability to operate under working situations.

 Course Standards

The course meets the requirements of:

•  ADAS Part 2R - Air Diving.

•  AS2815.2 - Air Diving to 30 metres.

•  Certificate IV in Occupational Diving (Surface Supplied and Scuba Work to 30 metres).     National Qualification Code 80432ACT.

 Subjects Covered

Handle Emergency Procedures, Carry Out Pre-Dive Preparations – SSBA, Undertake, Underwater Deployment – SSBA, Conduct Post Dive Procedures – SSBA, Compression Chamber Dive and Core Underwater Work.
