The ADAS Part 2 Restricted course is
a progressive step from Part 1 and includes the use of surface
supported breathing apparatus but does not include the use of
underwater tools.

In accordance with AS2815.2 and AS/NZS2299.1:2007;
• Hold
a valid certificate of medical fitness to dive.
• Hold
a recognised certificate of diving competence (i.e. AS2815.1).
• Hold
a certificate of senior first aid.

The course covers activities and competencies required for the
training and accreditation of divers who are required to work
safely and competently using surface supplied breathing equipment
to depths of 30 metres in accordance with AS/NZS2299.1:2007.
It does not include the use of power tools and is ideally suited
to the scientific and aquaculture diver.
The onshore commercial air diving qualification to 30 metres
[Restricted] is a progressive step from AS2815.1 (Occupational
Scuba Diver) and includes the use of surface supported breathing
apparatus and significantly increases the divers ability to
operate under working situations.

Physics of diving, inspection and maintenance
of personal equipment, pre and post dive checks, open water
dives in SCUBA and SSBA equipment, diving hazards, application
of decompression tables, diving attendant duties, standby divers
duties, surface team member duties, seamanship, small boat handling,
hand and voice communication, underwater work, lifting, search
schemes, inspection and measurement techniques, underwater surveys,
compressed air supply, diving panels, gas cylinder filling,
safety precautions, compression chambers, chamber dive, understanding
of therapeutic decompression tables, physiology, first aid,
