The use of nitrox
(or oxygen enriched air) by construction and scientific divers
has increased over the past few years. This short course is
designed to upgrade the knowledge and skills of existing ADAS
Part 1, 2 and 3 divers.

Underwater Centre Fremantle; (Practical) – Swan River.
• Minimum Number - 6.
• Maximum Number - 12.

deposit is required 30 days prior to the commencement date to
confirm a position on this course.

In accordance with AS/NZS2299.1:1999
• Hold a valid certificate
of medical fitness to dive.
• Hold a recognised certificate
of diving competence i.e. AS2815.1 or above.
• Hold a certificate of senior
first aid.
• Present a valid divers logbook.

Consideration has been given for the need
to ensure, as far as reasonably possible, that a trained professional
diver is competent to carry out commercial nitrox diving operations
in accordance with recognised standard industry procedures.
Nitrox diving operations would include the use of scuba and
SSBA diving equipment to maximum depth of 40 metres.
The course will include:
• Theory and principles of
nitrox diving.
• Gas mixing.
• Nitrox diving procedures.
• Two scuba dives using nitrox.
• Two SSBA dives using nitrox.
• Safety and emergency procedures
for nitrox diving.
The course meets the requirements of:
• ADAS (ADTE Memo 1/96).
• AS/NZS2299.1:1999.

of your nitrox qualification can be obtained during the five
yearly ADAS renewal process based on the TUCF certificate issued
at the successful completion of the course.
