TUCF Obtains Approval from Lloyd’s Register

20 February 2008

Lloyd’s Register yesterday approved TUCF’s Ship Security Plan for the    “Petra Pioneer” as required by the ISPS code.

This follows Interim ISM Code Certification issued by Lloyd’s Register on 12 February 2008.

TUCF now has the ability to manage vessels of the Other Cargo Ship and Offshore Support Ship classes.

TUCF General Manager Marine, Craig Maddison, said “this allows TUCF to manage the Petra Pioneer, further cementing our relationship with Petra and increasing our capabilities in the region.”

TUCF signed an exclusive cooperation agreement last year with Petra Perdana of Malaysia to market and operate their vessels in Australia and New Zealand. Plans to form a joint venture company to control these services in this region are well underway.
