High School Goes Flying!

31 May 2007

When TUCF placed a Bristow BK117 helicopter in Broome for utilization in    support of the INPEX Kimberley Site Survey we knew it was going to be    useful. However, little did we know in just how many ways the BK117    would come in handy!

Not only has the aircraft supported the INPEX field survey as planned, and evacuated a soldier out of a remote Kimberley site to Derby during a family crisis, but recently, the BK117 has gone on show for Broome high school students.

Teenagers all over are fascinated by helicopters, perhaps the BK117 will inspire Broome students to pursue a career in aviation or the oil and gas industry!
