Flexible Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation courses are run at TUCF to cater to the needs divers.

 Flexible Senior First Aid Course Details

•  Duration - Workbook (to be completed self paced over a maximum 2 week duration).
                 - 1 day attendance for practical skills, question time and debriefing.

    Run either Friday or Saturday, 08:30 to 17:00.

•  Location - TUCF

•  Minimum Number - 6.

•  Maximum Number - 16.

•  Price - $175.00.

•  
Deposit - An AUD$50.00 deposit is required 7 days prior to the commencement date     to confirm a position on this course.

 Advanced Resuscitation Course Details

•  Duration - Half Day Attendance

•  Run either Friday or Saturday, 08:30 to 13:00.

•  Location - TUCF

•  Minimum Number - 6.

•  Maximum Number - 16.

•  Price - $110.00.

•  Deposit - An AUD$50.00 deposit is required 7 days prior to the commencement date     to confirm a position on this course.

 Course Standards

•  Senior First Aid Flexible - unit number: HLTFA301B (Apply First Aid), 3 years National     Accreditation.

•  Advanced Resuscitation qualification - unit number HLTFA404A (Apply Advanced     Resuscitation Techniques)

Collectively these courses fulfil the requirements of AS/NZS2299.1:2007 paragraph 2.5.2, AS2815 paragraph 1.6 (e), and the PSL (Diving Safety) Regulations 2002. For ADAS and TUCF commerical diving standards.


 Flexible Senior First Aid Synopsis

•   Introduction to First Aid, Emergency Action Plan, Trauma Management and Medical Emergency Management.


 Pre-requisites

Students will be 15 years of age in the year of competency. It is recommended annual CPR (4 hrs) training be undertaken.


 Advanced Resuscitation Course Synopsis

Revision of Emergency Action Plan, Basic life support, Care of the unconscious, Oxygen use and supply including; Safety precautions, The need for oxygen, Administration of oxygen, Use of an oropharyngeal airway, Aspiration and Defibrillation


 Pre-requisites

Senior First Aid certificate not more than 6 months old
