Craig is a qualified Master Mariner Class 1
and was formally the General Manager of Adsteam Offshore, a diversified
company providing marine vessels and crewing services to the Australian
offshore oil and gas industry.
Prior to this he held General Manager, Business Development
and Marketing roles with major Australian and international marine
companies including Tidewater Marine, Australian Offshore Services
(now Farstad) and Brambles Marine Group as well as many years of seagoing
experience.
Craig has over thirty years of both senior management and seagoing
experience in the maritime industry and is familiar with vessel operations
in the oil and gas industry, harbour and ocean towage, landing craft
and the larger commercial shipping industry.

Career highlights and achievements
Whilst National Projects and Business Development Manager
for Adsteam Australia, Craig investigated and exploited opportunities
for organic growth through the application of a high level of knowledge
of the marine service business, vessel crewing & management, relationship
building within the Government sector and successful tendering.
At this time he won the AMSA contract to provide seven of nine regions
for emergency towage services and significantly grew non towage offshore
& project business – successfully optimising productivity
of vessels.
Craig led a review and managed procedural compliance with OHS &
E statutory regulations as part of the TCEP Project for Woodside and
the Conoco Phillips Bayu Undan Pipelay Project in the Timor Sea.
As the General Manager for Adsteam Offshore, Craig oversaw implementation
and validation of quality assurance systems; ISO9001/2000 and ISM,
such quality assured systems are fundamental to TUCF management and
operations.
As Marketing Manager for Adsteam Oceans & Terminals, Craig won
tenders and long term towing contracts at two major new LNG Terminals
in Australia and the UK.
Responsible for financial management, reporting, budgeting, operations
management, industrial relations, OHS&E, business development
and formulation & implementation of a strategic direction, he
secured a more advantageous market position for this company through
introduction to the offshore market.
Craig successfully tendered for two major port towing contracts; Gunns
and Port of Portland.
He utilised extensive contacts within the industry to access new markets
and win con-tracts to charter vessels in offshore markets.
During this period Craig negotiated and finalised a new 3 –
year Enterprise Bargaining Agreement with all maritime employees and
unions.
Now with TUCF, Craig was responsible for setting up and running Petra
Marine Australia, a company providing large offshore support vessels
to the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Seagoing & Maritime Training - Australian and International Positions
From 1971 to 1982 Craig completed his Cadetship with ASP and the Master
Class 1 Certificate. Subsequently he gained experience in; bulk carriers,
container ships, tankers, cargo ships, offshore support vessels, offshore
construction projects, dynamically positioned drill ships; through
companies including Associated Steam Ships, Bank Line, ANL, J Ray
Mc Dermott, Lombardo Marine. Projects included pipelay, platform and
SBM installation and offshore towage.
