The onshore commercial air diving qualification to 30 metres is a progressive step from AS 2815.1 (Occupational Scuba Diver) and includes the use of suface supplied breathing apparatus.

 Course Details

•  Duration - 4 weeks

•  Minimum Number - 5

•  Maximum Number - 12

•  Price - AUD$7250.00

•  
Deposit - A deposit of AUD$1090.00 is required to confirm a position on this course.

•  Inclusions - Price includes text books, all diving equipment for the duration of the course, two nights meals and accommodation (Collie), and all certification fees (ADAS fees are AUD$300.00).

 Deposits & Fee Payments

A 15% deposit is required to confirm a course booking. The balance of all course fees will need to be paid in full by 30 days prior to Course commencement. Once you book onto a course that is the course you must undertake or risk forfeiting your deposit.

PLEASE NOTE that your deposit is non refundable and non transferable unless you have a medical reason or in other exceptional circumstances. If you cannot commence the course please give us as much notice as possible to avoid further administration charges.

If a student fails to pay all specified outstanding Course fees to TUCF by the due date (30 days prior to Course commencement), the student will forfeit all monies paid, along with their place on the Course. If a student is experiencing difficulties meeting this requirement, they are to contact TUCF prior to the 30 day deadline.

 Selection Criteria

In accordance with AS2815.1 and AS/NZS2299.1:2007;

•  Hold a valid certificate of medical fitness to dive.

•  Hold a recognised certificate of recreational diving competence (e.g. PADI Open Water     Diver).

 Hold a Nationally Accredited certificate of Senior First Aid completed within the last 12     months. (National Competence Unit Number HLTFA301B)

 Be able to provide Photo Identification (i.e. drivers licence or passport)

 Course Synopsis

The course covers activities and competencies required for the training and accreditation of divers who are required to work safely and competently using surface supplied breathing equipment to depths of 30 metres in accordance with AS/NZS2299.1:2007.

 Course Overview

The onshore commercial air diving qualification to 30 metres is a progressive step from AS 2815.1 (Occupational Scuba Diver) and includes the use of surface suplied breathing apparatus. This significantly increases the divers ability to operate under working situations. It includes the use of welding and cutting equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, salvage equipment, air and water dredging equipment, construction tools and otehr work related subjects to meet shore diving industry requirements.

 Course Standards

The course meets the requirements of:


•  ADAS Part 2 - Air Diving.

•  AS2815.2 - Air Diving to 30 metres.

•  HSE Part III - Air Diving to 30 metres.

•  Certificate IV in Occupational Diving (Advanced Underwater Work to 30 metres).
    National Qualification Code 80433ACT.

 Subjects Covered

Physics of diving, inspection and maintenance of personal equipment, pre and post dive checks, open water dives in scuba and SSBA equipment, diving hazards, application of decompression tables, diving attendant duties, standby divers duties, surface team member duties, seamanship, small boat handling, hand and voice communication, underwater work including lifting, search schemes, inspection and measurement techniques, underwater surveys, hand tools, power tools, explosive powered tools, hydraulic tools, waterjet and airlift, thermal cutting techniques, underwater welding, maintenence of underwater tools, explosives use underwater, compressed air supply, diving panels, gas cylinder filling, saftey precautions, compression chambers, chamber dive, understanding of therapeutic decompression tables, physiology, first aid, AS/NZS2299.1:2007, legislation and guidance.
