Peter Hill of TUCF audits PMA Vessel Petra
PioneerTUCF QHSE Manager, Peter Hill, has conducted a vessel
audit of the Petra Pioneer on behalf of PMA. On approval by Lloyds’
Register, who independently administer certification on TUCF’s behalf,
this achieves compliance with International Maritime Organization
(IMO) requirements, and establishes safeguards against security,
safety and pollution risks involved in shipboard operations.
The vessel Petra Pioneer will now be eligible to upgrade in Document
Compliance (DOC) from an interim to initial standard under the International
Safety Management Code (ISM Code) and International Ship and Port
Security Code (ISPS Code). The processes of onboard auditing helps
TUCF’s client maintain compliance in relation to both of these codes.

TUCF is launching its “Apply the TEST” safety initiative
today. TEST is an acronym for TUCF’s Essential Safety Tools,
a set of eight safety requirements. Every job, activity or task
must satisfy the safety requirement before it can proceed, and more
than one TEST may apply.
Mr Hill declared TUCF's Safety Goal for the year is zero
accidents and incidents. Every TUCF staff member must familiarise
themselves with the fundamental principles of TEST in order to recognise
when it applies to your operation. Please look out for the posters
at every TUCF worksite and remember to always apply the TEST. Read
